This is the seventh anniversary of Buster's adoption. We found her picture on PetShelter.org, hopped in the car, and brought her home.
OK - it was actually more complicated thn that. We had to wait another 48 hours before she was available for adoption. The dog shelter in Shelton, WA., said she could be adopted any time after 10:00 AM. We got there around 8, but they wouldn't let us jump the line. Several other people also wanted to adopt her.
The very nice woman in charge of pet adoptions put everyone's name in a hat. Ours was drawn. "Bella" was renamed Buster and she's been the light of our lives - and a thoroughly spoiled dog - ever since.
